Mancat Monday: A Book Winner, A Transport and An Award

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!It sure was a pretty busy weekend around these parts but we did get a bit of a reprieve from all the rain when the sun came out yesterday.  We all enjoyed some of the sunpuddles that we thought were gone forever.

Okay, here is the book giveaway update.  Last week I was proud to offer the wonderful book “Animal Wise” by Virginia Morell to one lucky reader.  We used Random.org to see who the lucky winner was going to be, and it was Molly the Wally from the UK. Congratulations Molly, the book will be on the way to you shortly and we hope you enjoy it!

On Saturday my Dad purrticipated in a 3 kitty transport as part of the Underground Railroad Rescue Kitty Network.  These sweeties have feline leukemia and were trying to get home to a special lady who is going to love and care for them.  Dad went to Canton, NC to pick them up and drove them to Spartanburg, SC where he met up with our friend Melaine from Georgia who was driving the next two legs of the trip.  Melanie was also one of the special drivers on the Jamie transport.  I thought you might like to see who was riding with Dad…

DonahueThis is Donahue.

Angelina and BoomerThis is Boomer and Angelina.

All three were just as sweet as they could be and were so good on the drive.  We are thrilled that the transport went like clock-work.

Last, but not least, I’d like to thank my friend Speedy the Cheeky House Bunny for sharing his latest award with us.

Brian's Home. Adopt cats, we deserve it!
Thanks Speedy, we appreciate you sharing with us.  By the way, Speedy will be celebrating his first Gotcha Day on Saturday, March 2nd, so be sure and stop by his blog that day to help him celebrate.

That’s the Monday wrap-up, have a great week everyone!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!!  More Forever Homes More Often!  Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Congratulations Molly, and another successful transport. The rescue groups that do these long distance transports just amaze us. M wants to bad to be a part of one, but so far there hasn’t been anything close to us that she can handle. Your dad is amazing because he does so much for the animal community.

Congrats on your award! Of course you deserve it. You are so giving in so many many ways. Not just a giver of books, but a giver of your time to transport these poor needy kitties to a safe haven. They are all as sweet as can be. Thank you for what you have done — again!
