Christmas Cards, Hackers and a Gracie Update

Howdy All, Dad Terry again.

It has been so hectic, I forgot a couple of things…

For the first time we have an actual Christmas Card this year.  If you would like to receive one from us, please click on the link below and send me your mailing address.

Yes, send us a Christmas Card

Then, since I am an old techy nerd, some techy friends of mine at Angel Hack, along with Purina ONE and GOOD are partnering together to help Karma Rescue, a local Los Angeles animal rescue group, redesign its digital presence so that it can drive more adoptions.  They have asked me to help spread the word.  So if you are on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or Pinterest, kindly share the following link to the post I did about this cool  event.  Thanks so much.

Now for a quick update:  Gracie’s lungs appeared to be a little clearer this morning, which is good.  However, she is not wanting to eat for them, so please send purrs and prayers for her to start eating.  Her Mom is going by this afternoon to see if Gracie will eat for her and I will be visiting this evening to try and get her to eat for me. It will be later when I get home this evening but I will try to post a quick update.

Thanks everyone!

Sending prayers, good thoughts and purrs for all of you. We wonder if the medication that Gracie is taking is giving her an upset stomach and making her not want to eat. I am sure she will be really happy to see you and hopefully she will eat for you. Hugs. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

  11. Sparkle says:

I am purring for Gracie to start eating!

Hoping so much that Gracie has eaten since this post! I’m glad her lungs are clearer, but Gracie, we all want you to eat!! Much love to her!

I also hope everyone else at home are all better.

  20. emma says:

Hope she will eat with you or her mom around. She has to keep getting better!

  21. Glad Gracie’s lungs are clearer. When Socks was at MedVet he stopped eating for them but he started eating up a storm once he got home. Mommy thinks he went on a hunger strike because he didn’t like being left at MedVet. Maybe Gracie is just bummed about being away from home. We will purr that she will eat and we will try to explain to her that they are trying to help her get well and that eating will help her get well faster and once she is well she can come home.

  22. Angel Abby says:

    Purrs very hard for Gracie

  23. mariodacat says:

Oh Gracie sweetheart – you have to start eating. I’m going to sit right here and purr loudly until you do. So please start eating so I don’t collapse from exhaustion. Love you sweetie. Mario SMOOCH

  24. Come on, Gracie. Eat up! Hopefully she’ll eat when you go by to visit for her. Hand-feeding can make a big difference, even if it looks kind of funny to the peep to be hand-feeding canned cat food.

  25. Skeeter and Izzy says:

We’re sending big,big purrs and prayers to you all. Gracie just needs her Mom and Dad with her and we think she will eat. It is scary stuff to be away from home and peeps and fur family and be sick too! Eat mucho mucho for Mom and Dad so you can get better and come home!!!

  26. Gin and Bailey says:

    Please eat little Gracie!!

  27. Hi Terry: i was thinking can Gracie have some Mirtazipine to stimulate her appetite?? It can be crushed into food (but is a bit bitter) or given orally in a clear capsule….it dissolves quickly & it would boost her appetite ALOT! It does make the cat a bit stoned…but in a good way….it’s just a thought…I know how important it is for a sick cat to wat.
    Sincerely, Sherri-Ellen & Nylablue…

  28. We read that Gracie ate a little bit for you. Yay! We continue to purr that her lungs get clearer and she starts to eat more.

  29. Basil says:

Glad that Gracie’s lungs appear better, now keeping everything crossed that she will be tempted to eat a little something!

  30. Timmy Tomcat says:

Dad is a hooman Nursey Man and says that when the ability to scent food we loose a lot of our taste and appetite. Cats even more so as we are so scent oriented.
We did a real card this year too and will join in the fun
    Purrs to Gracie and everyone
    Timmy Dad and Family

  31. Mag's Corner says:

We are happy to hear that sweet Sister Gracie’s lungs seem to be clearing. We sure hope that she eats and regains strength so she can get well very soon. Still praying for her and all of you at your place. Hugs and nose kisses

  32. Ann Staub says:
